Kounouz Al-Jazair National Tourism Association – Médéa Provincial Office
An interactive guide to Médéa: nine mapped destinations, trips requested on WhatsApp
This website was built through the Mustashar Nonprofit Initiative.

The website of the Médéa office of the Kounouz Al-Jazair national tourism association, built within Mustashar's non-profit initiative under the motto «Tourism, our endless oil». It brings together a guide to nine destinations on an interactive map of the province, six suggested itineraries and a form that turns a trip request into a WhatsApp or Messenger message.
The need
The office promotes domestic tourism, runs affordable outings for families and young people and guides visiting associations, yet its online presence was limited to a Facebook page. With no email address and no donation account, it needed a site that showcases Médéa's natural and archaeological treasures and turns interest into organised trips.
What we built
We designed a royal-navy identity with amber-orange «Request a trip» buttons, emerald green and gold hairlines drawn from the gem in the emblem. The site offers a guide to nine destinations with visiting tips and best seasons, plus an interactive map of the province built on geoBoundaries data, with a note on the 2026 administrative redistricting. In place of a donation page, a trip-request form picks destinations or a suggested itinerary and drafts the message for WhatsApp or Messenger, alongside a 73-photo gallery that credits every Wikimedia Commons image to its author.

Six suggested itineraries
Ready-made routes that combine nearby sites, from «A day in the Atlas» to «Winter at the hammams», each requestable in one click.
Trip requests via WhatsApp
A form gathers destinations, group type and size, date, duration and departure point into a ready message for WhatsApp or Messenger, storing nothing.

26 articles and stories
Articles drawn from the office's posts and El Massa reports on Médéa and Algeria's treasures, each with its own page and photos.
A destination for every season
A rail suggests a destination for each season: Dhaya lake in spring, waterfalls in summer, Tibhirine in autumn, hammams in winter and heritage sites year-round.
Algeria's national treasures
A grid of seven national landmarks, from the Martyrs' Memorial to Tassili n'Ajjer, Timgad and Djemila, reflecting the association's national scope.
