Hadj Messaoud Kelthoum Club for Quran Memorisation and Children’s Skills
Verse-by-verse memorisation tracking for staff, teachers and parents in one place
Screenshots come from a demo club with fictitious data, to protect the club's and its members' data.
This website was built through the Mustashar Nonprofit Initiative.

A complete Arabic web platform for running Quran memorisation clubs and schools: students and groups, attendance, verse-by-verse memorisation tracking in the Warsh or Hafs reading, fees and receipts, reports and a dedicated parent portal. Built for desktop and phone alike, it can host several independent clubs under one platform account. The platform was gifted to the club as part of Mustashar’s initiative for the non-profit sector and has been live on its own subdomain since October 2026.
The need
The club welcomes children across several groups with different levels and timetables. It needed to know exactly what each student has memorised, record attendance and fees, and keep parents informed of their children’s progress. The tool had to be in Arabic, simple enough for a teacher to use on a phone during class, and strict about protecting children’s data.
What we built
We designed and built a single-page app in plain JavaScript backed by one PHP API that enforces permissions server-side on every operation, with an SQLite database created automatically: no MySQL required, and the whole platform deploys to shared hosting from a single archive. King Fahd Complex data supplies the verse count of every surah and the start of every juz’, so progress is measured in verses, surahs and juz’ for the chosen reading. Teachers record attendance and recitations from their phone in seconds, parents follow their child with a phone number and a six-digit PIN, receipts print on the spot, and reports print, save as PDF or export to Excel.
What sets this website apart?
Verse-by-verse tracking
Share of the Quran memorised, completed surahs and juz’, a 30-juz’ grid and the next passage suggested automatically, in the Warsh (6,214 verses) or Hafs (6,236) reading.
Daily recitation on mobile
Teachers log new memorisation or revision by picking the surah and verses, with a grade out of ten, a mistake count and ready-made remarks that parents see in their portal.
Attendance in seconds
An attendance sheet per group (present, absent, late, excused) with an ‘all present’ button, plus a dashboard alert for repeated absences.
Parent portal
With a phone number and a six-digit PIN, parents follow their children’s memorisation, attendance, evaluations and fees, along with club announcements and upcoming events.
Fees and receipts
Monthly and yearly plans, registration fees, discounts and exemptions, and numbered receipts printed with the amount spelled out in Arabic words.
Printable reports
Nine reports, including the student follow-up card, memorisation progress, attendance, unpaid fees and the monthly summary, ready to print, save as PDF or export to Excel.
Groups and timetable
Memorisation groups and skills workshops, each with its teachers, room, capacity and schedule, plus a weekly timetable and today’s sessions on the dashboard.
Online registration
Parents request a place through the club’s link, giving explicit consent for data, photos and contact; the office then reviews and approves the request.
Roles and data protection
Five roles enforced server-side (teachers only see their own groups), hashed passwords, a temporary lockout after failed attempts and an activity log.
